In case you’re having a bad day, remember that some people have a fear of ketchup, which is officially called mortuusequusphobia if you’d like to try to pronounce it. Englishwoman Leigh Woodman feels very scared and sick when she sees or smells ketchup. She doesn’t know why she has this fear but has felt this way for as long as she can remember.
She’s far from alone; Alexandriah Govan from Scotland, developed this fear after her sister sprayed ketchup on her when she was 12. Even though she works as a waitress, handling ketchup makes her feel very uncomfortable. Yes, she works with the thing she’s most afraid of every day.
