It was only a matter of time. Better Days Robotic Kitchens, a fully robot-run restaurant, is now open in Miami. The robots staffing the restaurant prepare dishes with guidance from artificial intelligence in two to four minutes, with the Mediterranean-inspired meals selling for prices between $4 and $15.
The general manager of Better Days, Ryan Ramseyer, told the press “We have a team of chefs here in Miami who have curated a menu that we think is attractive for this market.” Meals are prepared in batches, and when an order is placed the robots measure weight, moisture, and even do “a thermal scan on all dishes to ensure they’re cooked to perfection.” Ramseyer hopes that once people try the food…they’ll be back.
