Gen Z is loving a new blush trend going around on TikTok that gives a sunburned look instead of a sun-kissed one. Celebrities like Sabrina Carpenter and Hailey Bieber are known for their doll-like pink cheeks and fans are taking note.
Influencer Rachel Carlisle showed off her routine, packing on bright rouge before foundation for that sunburned effect. Some people think it looks crazy, but others love it like creator Kim Lloyd who shared “It’s a safe way to get a sun-induced glow without the sun damage.” Isabell Rose, another TikTok creator, even mimics tan lines around her eyes and on her décolletage.
Hailey Bieber noted, “You can always start with less and see how it feels for you… blushes are very buildable.” While it’s possible that the blush boom might fizzle in seasons to come, experts believe the trend will stick around for a while.
