There are plenty of stories about people being struck by lightning, but a 30-year-old comedian from Australia has a new detail about what happens. Carly Electric was struck by lightning while filming a storm in 2023. After the strike, she couldn’t move and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors diagnosed her with a temporary condition called keraunoparalysis. She was paralyzed for about nine hours and had trouble breathing, speaking, and moving.
Oddly, after recovering, she noticed her green eyes had turned dark brown. Carly also said the spot on her head where the lightning hit is now extra sensitive. Despite the scare, she kept her sense of humor and even said the experience boosted her dating life.
