A skydiver named Hatton Smith accidentally dropped his iPhone from 14-thousand feet while jumping out of a plane in South Carolina. He was filming his skydive when the phone slipped from his hand. Thinking it was gone for good, he was shocked to find it later, completely undamaged.
After landing, he used the Find My iPhone app and tracked it to a spot near a rural road, about a quarter mile from the landing zone. The phone was lying face-up in grass, with no scratches or cracks. It was still in its case, which might’ve helped. Smith said it was like a miracle that it survived without a mark and was still working perfectly.
