From coach class to roach class. Passengers aboard an aircraft based out of India got a horrible surprise recently when a bug infestation broke out. The video, which was captured on the recent IndiGo flight, features multiple creepy-crawly palmetto bugs scurrying around the plane’s food storage area.
Tarun Shukla, an Indian aviation journalist who shared the clip, says he hopes the airline “takes a hard look at its fleet and checks how did this even happen.” The carrier has since put out a statement, saying, “Our staff promptly took the necessary action onboard. As a precautionary measure, we immediately cleaned the entire fleet and carried out fumigation and disinfection procedures.” We should hope so!
