Boy Rescued After Being Found Floating In Large Plastic Bubble In Sea Off Brazilian Coast

The last thing you expect to see when you’re out on a boating trip with your kids is another kid floating past in a giant plastic bubble. A man who runs a tourist boat business saw the giant bubble with an eight-year-old inside floating off Lazaro Beach in Ubatuba, Brazil on Christmas Eve, and with the help of another boater managed to tow the bubble back to shore.

The boy was playing in a bubble that was tethered to shore with a rope, but while he was inside a strong wind freed the bubble and blew it out into the water. The family was hysterical when they brought the boy back safely according to the sailor. A spokesperson for the Maritime Firefighters Group said the bubbles are new to beaches in the area, and should only be used in pools.
