Apparently, your mom’s diet during pregnancy could sculpt your nose and jawline. Like a little a prenatal makeover, a recent study found that protein-rich foods can lead to wider noses and beefier jaws in babies. Turns out that the more protein that is consumed during pregnancy, the more active these genes, known as “mTORC1,” become.
It’s not all about what mom’s munching on though – genetics still play a big part in the facial game. And it’s not just humans…Fish babies can score longer, sleeker noses if their moms dine on low-nutrition meals. It’s evolution’s way of giving them a leg up foraging for food in areas with low availability.
