Star Wars Superfan Named Luke Skywalker Selling Massive Collection Of Memorabilia

Luke Kaye, who legally changed his name to Luke Skywalker, is parting with his legendary “Star Wars” collection, once valued at $1-million. Luke has spent decades collecting over 16-thousand rare items, including lightsabers, toys, and replica models. “Every penny I’ve ever earned has been put into my collection,” Luke said, explaining his decision to let others cherish the pieces he has accumulated since age 13. Highlights of the sale include a Jedi lightsaber gifted to him by “Saber Master” Norman Harrison and personalized “Star Wars”-themed license plates.

The first 230 lots, including extremely rare “Master Replicas” items, will be auctioned today at Wessex Auction Rooms, with global fans already showing interest. Auctioneer Tim Weeks remarked, “This might be a once-in-a-lifetime chance to own some of these items.” Luke, who even hosted Carrie Fisher at his home and became friends with Mark Hamill, described his passion: “I thought I was Luke Skywalker when I saw the films. That movie changed everything.” The remaining items, including costumes from “Star Wars” and other franchises, will be auctioned in January, marking the end of a remarkable era for this devoted fan.
