It’s a fairly normal story…almost. German Shepherd mix Athena had been missing for nine days before Christmas, and her family was upset. They put out digital and physical flyers, watched hours of doorbell camera video, and searched everywhere. The family’s four young children were heartbroken, but Christmas is a time of miracles.
Around 2:30 am on Christmas Eve morning, Athena came home and rang the doorbell to be let back inside, then pawed at the door until they opened it. The kids were over the moon, the parents were happy, and Athena showed up just in time for a lot of love…and probably some questions about where she learned how to ring the doorbell.
