HAMMOND, NY – The Hammond Fire and Rescue’s Annual Field Day will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the fire station located at 300 Lake Street, Hammond, NY. The day starts off at 2:00 PM with a chicken barbeque. Our chicken barbeque includes baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw and a roll. The adult meal is a ½ chicken for $15.00. The Firemen’s Parade follows at 7:00 PM and features many area fire departments, five high school bands, civic organizations and local groups. This year features the return of prizes for floats. To be eligible for the prizes you must pre-register your float by contacting Steve Trenton at 585-750-1426 or stevphent@aol.com. Fire Chief Jon Bass describes the event, “as a fun family day with lots of things to do for kids of all ages”. The auction, bounce house and kid’s games will open immediately after the parade and the day concludes with a dance featuring the band Black Lakers beginning 9:00 PM. Refreshments are available on the grounds throughout the day.
