Coin round-up campaign and community partnership support Akwesasne Mohawk Fire Station and Fort Covington Fire Station
AKWESASNE, N.Y. — [July 2026] — Twinleaf, Smokers Warehouse, and the Strong Roots Charitable Foundation have donated a combined $9,700 to two area fire stations serving the Akwesasne and Fort Covington communities, with funds raised in part through the “Small Change, Big Difference” coin round-up campaign.
The Akwesasne Mohawk Fire Station received $5,600. The Fort Covington Fire Station received $4,100.
Thanks to the generosity of community members who rounded up their spare change at checkout, along with contributions from Twinleaf, Smokers Warehouse, and Strong Roots, the campaign and partnership together reached this total. The funds support the volunteer crews and equipment that protect the same communities the businesses serve every day.
