Vending Machines Powered By AI Selling Bullets In The South

In some grocery stores in the US, you can buy ammo the same way you buy cold drinks or Twizzlers. Vending machines are now in several grocery stores around the country that sell ammunition, but it’s a little more complicated than just inserting your money or your card. The machines, manufactured by American Rounds, are described on the company’s website as having “built-in AI technology, card scanning capability, and facial recognition software.”

The first machine was installed in Alabama, with four others in place in Oklahoma, and one so far in Texas. At least two other machines are in the process of being installed in other locations, and the company says it has over 200 requests from stores to have one of the machines installed. The plan is to restock the machines every two to four weeks, and there are no limits on the amount of ammo that can be bought.
