A man has broken his own Guinness World Record title for the most McDonald’s Big Macs eaten in a lifetime, consuming a total of 34,128 of the fast-food sandwiches. Don Gorske, 70, who’s a retired prison officer, has maintained surprisingly good health despite the extraordinary consumption, crediting walking six miles a day and excluding the fries from his order. “Many people thought I’d be dead by now but instead I’ve been a record holder for my 24th year – one of Guinness World Records’ longer-running record holders, so that’s pretty cool to me,” he said.
Gorske first had a Big Mac in May 1972 and has kept a meticulous record of every single one he’s eaten. These days the Big Mac muncher, who was featured in the documentary “Super Size Me,” eats two Big Macs a day, cutting down from his original nine. He now buys them in batches twice a week and microwaves them at home when he’s hungry.
