On the morning of June 28, Tilda Kantala woke up with what she calls a ‘small burning pain’ in her stomach and thought she had eaten something the night before that didn’t agree with her. Less than eight minutes later, she says she recognized a familiar urge from when she gave birth to her daughter two years ago.
Her mother, who she was staying with, asked her if she was pregnant as the head became visible, and Kantala said “I guess so.” The boy was born at the house, then both mother and baby were taken to the hospital; they were released after four days of tests and are both doing well.
