A California woman says she was paid $120,000 to serve as a surrogate, then learned the intended father was Chinese video game billionaire Xu Bo, who says he has fathered more than 100 children. The woman, identified only as Judy, found the surrogacy offer on Instagram and hoped the money would help her family buy a home. She says the agency told her the father was a single man using more than two dozen surrogates, but would not identify him despite repeated requests.
“CBS News” later showed her documents naming Xu, founder of Guangzhou Duoyi Network. Judy said she was troubled by not knowing who the baby was for and questioned why one person wanted so many children. Xu has denied reports that he has more than 300 children, but has acknowledged having more than 100, which still leaves the question of why he wants so many kids.
