They say money can’t buy love, but one woman is giving it a shot anyway. Tired of being single, Eve Tilley-Coulson is now offering a big “referral bonus” to the person who finds her a man to marry. She previously told her friends that she’d pay them $5-thousand if they introduce her to her husband and now the corporate litigation attorney from Los Angeles is making the same deal to her 100-thousand TikTok followers.
Last month, the 35-year-old shared the offer in a video that has over 556-thousand views and has brought her between 20 and 25 digital introductions to potential grooms. Tilley-Coulson says she hasn’t gone on any dates yet, but that “people are definitely motivated to help.” She explains that she’s been single for about five years, meeting guys in person and on the apps, but most of them aren’t serious.
“So I feel like paying $5-thousand for a husband who’s vouched for, meets my needs and is ready for a real relationship is totally worth it,” the wanna-be bride shares. But there are some important rules for any amateur matchmakers to keep in mind:
- He has to be eligible, as in he can’t already be married or in a relationship.
- He must meet Tilley-Coulson’s non-negotiables: be between 27 and 40 years old, be 5-foot-11 or taller, have a witty “British sense of humor” and love sports, animals and kids.
- Political and religious views aren’t dealbreakers for her, but the 5-foot-10 blonde says his height is important because she’s tall and she wants him to be tall as well.
- And if you help her meet her Mr. Right, she says she’ll give you the $5-thousand “as soon as the marriage certificate is signed.”
