23-year-old teacher Payton Stover thought that stress from her job was tiring her out every day, but when her legs began to swell she decided to go to the doctor. After doing tests, the doctor told her she was pregnant, then told her that due to health problems she was having the baby “in 15 minutes.”
Stover’s kidneys and liver weren’t functioning properly, so doctors had to perform an emergency C-section to deliver Kash, who was born 10 weeks premature and weighed just four pounds. It was later determined that the surprised mom had preeclampsia, a complication that leads to high blood pressure.
