A calf born on a farm in India is drawing visitors who think it’s an incarnation of the Hindu god Shiva. The calf was born with three eyes and four nostrils, and other than the deformity it’s healthy. Locals are making special trips to the farm and leaving gifts for the animal.
The extra eye and nostrils were caused by a hormonal disorder; the mother had previously given birth to two normal calves. The calf weighs about 30 pounds and is eating normally, despite also having a longer tongue than normal.
