Cat owners know the struggle of keeping their pets off kitchen counters. One engineer decided to solve this problem with technology. The creator behind the YouTube channel Lab-X built an AI-powered robot named Puffy to keep his cat Cookie off the counter. The robot has a squirt gun built in and was trained to spot Cookie and spray him when he jumps up.
The creator says it took a lot of testing and tweaking to get Puffy to work right, and the video shows all the trial and error, plus plenty of Cookie’s antics along the way. Not every cat would put up with a robot roommate, though; some cats would probably just knock it right off the counter. You can see the video to the right.
