A Georgia second-grade teacher has come up with a simple plan for one of the less pleasant parts of classroom life, a special “fart corner.” Candy Sydney-Browning says she has a weak stomach, so students who need to pass gas can get up, walk to the “Gusty Winds Area,” take care of business, then return to their seats. She even keeps Febreze nearby to help with the smell.
The idea has drawn plenty of reaction online, with some people seeing it as a practical way to handle a normal bodily function, while others worry it could embarrass kids who use it. Sydney-Browning created the corner after getting tired of dealing with classroom odors, turning an everyday school problem into a very unusual classroom rule.
