A woman in Russia has been convicted of killing her husband by sitting on his neck while he was face-down on the bed, resulting in his death by asphyxia, according to the medical examiner’s report. 224-pound Tatyana O., as she has been named in the Russian press, had been drinking heavily when she sat on him, saying she “merely wanted to calm her hubby down.” Her husband, Aidar, had been drinking as well. It’s a horrible story, but it gets worse. Aidar’s daughter was there at the time and saw her father pinned face down on the bed and ran to get help from neighbors. One female neighbor came but apparently decided the couple was having a domestic dispute and left. Tatyana was convicted of causing death by negligence after a murder charge was dropped.
Allegedly, Aidar was begging for “forgiveness” as he lay pinned on the bed, and when he stopped showing signs of life Tatyana “shook him and shouted at him to wake up,” according to testimony in her trial. The Investigative Committee has announced it’s calling for a new murder charge to be filed against her.
