A plumbing company in Russia has gone viral for a contest that is exactly as strange as it sounds. Held at a store in the city of Stavropol, the competition was named “Game of Thrones,” and it challenged dozens of people to drink a non-alcoholic sparkling beverage out of brand new toilets using large straws. Whoever emptied their container first advanced.
Competitors were split into groups of seven, and the fastest drinkers moved to a second round, where they had to sit on a closed toilet seat as long as possible. The last one still seated won a prize of 100,000 rubles, which is about $1,276. Organizers said that after ten hours, only two people had quit, with everyone else holding out and suppressing their physiological needs.
