OnlyFans Users Sue Platform For “Bait And Switch” False Promises Of Content

There’s another lawsuit coming for OnlyFans. A class-action suit was filed against the company yesterday in California, saying that they use “bait-and-switch” tactics to mislead customers. According to the lawsuit, when OnlyFans customers click “Subscribe” for a content creator’s paid subscription, a pop-up promises “Full Access to this user’s content,” but allegedly “millions of fans have bought subscriptions only to discover that, behind OnlyFans’s paywalls, creators’ exclusive content remains inaccessible.”

The suit has over 100 class members, and includes plaintiff David Gardner of Los Angeles, who says he paid to subscribe to two creators, but only was allowed to see non-explicit “teaser” content. It’s not the first legal problem for the platform; a federal judge dismissed a suit against OnlyFans in December that accused the platform of running “chatter scams,” where the person customers thought they were talking to wasn’t, in fact, the creator.
