Michael Amoia holds the world record for having the most insect tattoos with 864, more than twice the number of the previous record holder. With that many bugs permanently pictured on his body, you would think he loves insects…and you’d be wrong.
“I’m afraid of bugs, I hate bugs,” Amoia explained to the New York Post. If he hates bugs, why get them all over his body? “Do you run from the fire, or do you run through it?” he explained, saying his tattoos are a way to own his fears.
