New World Record Set For Longest Ever Rifle Shot

Scott Austin, Shepard Humphries, and a group of shooting instructors known as the Nomad Rifleman got together recently to reclaim the world record for the longest rifle shot. The group previously held the record at 3.06 miles with a shot in 2020, but that record was broken later that year with a four-mile shot.

The new record was set with a “one-of-a-kind” rifle by a shooter that wants to remain anonymous. He hit an eight-inch bullseye from 4.4 miles away using the gun that took over a year to put together with parts from Canada, New Zealand, Arkansas, South Dakota, Washington, and elsewhere.
