Mouse Crawling Out Of Meal Forces Plane To Land

A Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) flight from Oslo to Málaga was forced to make an unscheduled landing in Copenhagen after a mouse crawled out of a passenger’s meal. The incident occurred on Wednesday, leading to the immediate change of aircraft due to safety concerns. Rodents are forbidden on planes because they can chew on important wires.

One passenger, Jarle Borrestad, shared the bizarre moment on Facebook, writing, “A lady next to me … opened her food and a mouse jumped out,” alongside a smiling photo with fellow passengers. Airline spokesperson Øystein Schmidt confirmed the incident, emphasizing that it is extremely rare and that the airline has procedures in place to prevent it from happening again. Passengers were later flown to Málaga on a different aircraft.
