It’s rare to hear of twins not being born at the same time, but Kayleigh Doyle’s twins were born at two different hospitals 22 days apart. She knew she was pregnant with twins, but at 22-and-a-half weeks she had severe labor pains. She was rushed to the hospital and gave birth to Arlo naturally…17 weeks early and stillborn. Her labor stopped and Kayleigh was sent home.
Just over three weeks later, she went into labor again and gave birth to Astro. Doctors had told Kayleigh that Astro might have health problems if he survived, and he does…but survive he did. Astro is now two, and his mom is volunteering at a local NICU.
