Michigan Lawmaker Spent $221 Of Campaign Funds At Strip Club

A constituent’s gotta eat, right? 25-year-old Michigan state representative Jewell Jones filed his campaign finance report to the state House of Representatives on Sunday, and included in the receipts was $221 spent at the Pantheion Club, a strip club in Dearborn. Jones said the strip club was the venue for “a constituent meeting” to discuss “potential economic projects,” adding that they have “great lamb chops.”

It’s not the first time Jones has received attention for his behavior; on April 6 he was found in his car in a ditch, drunk and partially clothed with a woman; he was charged with DUI, resisting arrest, and multiple other charges, and fired from his job as an auxiliary police officer over the incident. In 2017 he became the youngest person ever elected to the Michigan state House.
