Man Riding His Unicycle Home From “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” Stops A Sexual Assault

A man leaving an early morning showing of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” in Washington, D.C., became an unlikely hero when he stopped an attempted sexual assault on his way home. The good samaritan, identified only as Zamilan, had just finished watching the new Spider-Man film at a theater in Georgetown around 4:30 a.m. and was riding his electric unicycle home to Virginia when he heard a woman crying for help from a nearby waterfront park. He found a man who had pulled a woman from where she was sleeping and was dragging her toward the bushes near the water.

Zamilan tried to scare the man off while recording video on his phone to capture his image in case police needed it. His actions gave the woman a chance to get up and reach safety. He called 911 and stayed with her until help arrived. Park Police later took a man into custody in connection with the attack.
