There are some things that would seem to be hard to miss. A Vietnamese man recently went to the hospital with pain and swelling in his left eye. The 24-year-old told doctors the symptoms had been bothering him for around three weeks, but had recently gotten worse. He tried the hospital after the medicine another medical facility had given him didn’t help, and there was a good reason it didn’t work.
Doctors did a CT scan on the man and found that there was three-inch section of chopstick lodged in his eye socket. The patient told doctors he didn’t remember how it happened, but did remember a “collision” with a friend during a night of partying. Doctors successfully removed the chopstick, and his eyesight remains perfect.
