Lawmaker Apologizes After Trying To ‘Pants’ Referee At High School Game

The Tennessee House caucus chairman for Republicans, Rep. Jeremy Faison, took to Twitter to apologize for losing his temper and trying to pants a referee. According to a report from the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association, Faison showed up on the court after a brief scuffle between the teams and pointed a finger in a ref’s face, then tried to pull his pants down as he walked away.

Getting upset is one thing but trying to pull the ref’s pants down takes it to a different level in some people’s eyes. Faison tweeted that he “acted the fool tonight and lost my temper on a ref.” Rep. Gloria Johnson, a Democrat, tweeted in response “Pantsing a ref on the gym floor is next level bullying.” https://platform.twitter.com/embed/Tweet.html?dnt=false&embedId=twitter-widget-12&features=eyJ0ZndfZXhwZXJpbWVudHNfY29va2llX2V4cGlyYXRpb24iOnsiYnVja2V0IjoxMjA5NjAwLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X2hvcml6b25fdHdlZXRfZW1iZWRfOTU1NSI6eyJidWNrZXQiOiJodGUiLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X3NwYWNlX2NhcmQiOnsiYnVja2V0Ijoib2ZmIiwidmVyc2lvbiI6bnVsbH19&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1478544992419430404&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.drdavesultimateprep.com%2Fprep%2Fmy_picks&sessionId=a0da15f7bea891b647682bd9d56ce173deb8a120&theme=light&widgetsVersion=9fd78d5%3A1638479056965&width=550px
