A man in India has been given the world record for having the hairiest face ever recorded. The man’s name is Ranjit Singh, and Guinness World Records says 98-percent of his face is covered with hair. That includes his forehead, cheeks, nose, and even around his eyes. Ranjit said he’s had hair on his face like this since he was a little boy.
He suffers from a ultra-rare condition called hypertrichosis, also known as “werewolf syndrome,” with only around 50 documented cases since the Middle Ages. As you can imagine, he says people made fun of him and stared a lot as a child, but now he’s proud of his unique look. He even takes part in events to inspire others to be proud of who they are, no matter how different they might look.
