A man in India wanted to quit his job, but didn’t want to tell his relative that owned the diamond company he worked at that he wanted out. For some reason, he decided the next logical thing to do was cut off four of the fingers on his left hand. Mayur Tarapara showed up at a police station claiming that he was riding his motorcycle to a friend’s house when he passed out, then woke up 10 minutes later with the fingers gone.
The police suspected the man’s fingers had been stolen for black magic rituals, but after questioning he admitted that he had used a knife to cut off his fingers to make himself unfit for his job. Police have recovered three of his fingers and the investigation continues, because they obviously still have questions.
