German Coach Kicked Out Of Olympics After Punching Horse

A very unique ejection happened at the Tokyo Olympics Friday when German modern pentathlon coach Kim Raisner punched a horse that refused to jump or trot. German rider Annika Schleu had been struggling to control her horse, and Raisner was heard on German TV telling Schleu to “really hit” the horse.

The rider had been leading the event before the punch was thrown. The modern pentathlon consists of running, swimming, fencing, shooting, and horseback riding. The governing body of the modern pentathlon said the German coach’s actions were in violation of the rules, and she was disqualified from the rest of the Tokyo Olympics.
