A mom in the U.K. says she’s been called a child abuser and even questioned by social services because her baby is much larger than average. Little Archie was born at a normal weight but started gaining fast, hitting a whopping 23 pounds by six months. His mom, Charlie, says people stare at them in public and often make rude comments. Some even accuse her of overfeeding him.
Doctors have checked Archie for health problems, but tests haven’t found anything wrong. Charlie says Archie is hitting his milestones and is happy and healthy. She believes his size might just run in the family since her first child was also big. Still, strangers keep judging her, and it’s taken a toll on her mental health. She’s now speaking out to raise awareness and let other moms know they aren’t alone when dealing with this kind of unwanted attention or shaming for having a chonk of a child.
