Warning to owners of the Fitbit Ionic model smartwatch. The US Product Safety Commission says they’ve received more than 100 complaints from people who’d been “burnt” after the Ionic smartwatch battery “overheated.” That’s led to the recommendation to stop wearing them, and contact Fitbit for a refund. It should be noted that this warning only applies to the Ionic model with the “FB503” model number on the back, and not other Fitbit smartwatches.
