A New Jersey couple’s Tesla was damaged by a fish that seemingly fell from the sky outside their home. The car was parked in their driveway in Atlantic Highlands, NJ when the incident was caught on camera.
Cynthia and Jeff Levine initially didn’t realize what had happened. “The car started honking like crazy, which we had never heard before,” Cynthia explained. “I went out and saw the damage, and it looked like fish scales and blood on the windshield.”
They first thought someone had thrown the fish at their car. But, living about a mile from Raritan Bay, they figured a bird must have dropped it. “We have an eagle’s nest in our backyard… We think it was probably the eagle,” Cynthia added.
Expecting to get their Tesla back soon, Jeff joked, “I lowered my deductibles, so if any birds are listening, please don’t drop anything here because I’m covered now.”
