Too harsh? King says it was just a mistake. She says the Facebook algorithm misinterpreted her comment as a violation of their policies against hate speech and automatically banned her. Facebook policies define hate speech as a direct attack against people rather than concepts or institutions based on protected characteristics…like gender.
