A new electric aircraft may be the closest thing you can get to being Superman. The electric ZEVA Aero, shaped like a satellite dish, can take off straight up into the air from a vertical ‘hover mode’ and then lean over into ‘forward flight mode’ with the passenger facing down while they fly at up to 160 mph.
The Tacoma, Washington company that has patented the design calls it a ‘personal flying machine,’ and they expect to start taking preorders later this year for a $5k deposit. It’s not going to be cheap to fly like a superhero, though, with the full price expected to be up to $250k.
