Dollar Tree To Start Selling Things For More Than $1

Consumer prices are on the rise, and that now includes the place many go to find a bargain. Dollar Tree has announced that some items in their stores will now be priced at $1.25 to $1.50, with a new section of the store called ‘Dollar Tree Plus’ stocking items for a much as $5.

Annual inflation hit 4.2% in July, the highest it’s been in 30 years, and that’s one of the things Dollar Tree is blaming the price increase on. The company says that increased shipping prices are also to blame, but the news isn’t all bad…at least for the company. Shares of the company’s stock went up 13% after the announcement.
