Chinese Car Company Is Using Female Robots As Showroom Assistants

Coming soon to a car salesperson near you…less “person.” Chinese carmaker Chery Automotive is rolling out Mornine, a blonde humanoid robot, to sell cars in showrooms. Developed with AiMOGA, Mornine was shown off at the Shanghai Auto Show and a big event in Wuhu, China. These robots, which cost about the same as a car, can walk, talk, and answer questions about car models using DeepSeek AI. They wear sunglasses and have long hair, but some find their look a bit creepy.

Chery’s president, Zhang Guibing, says robots like Mornine are the future, with a bigger market than cars. The company plans to send 220 Mornines to dealers worldwide this year, with one already working in Malaysia.
