Englishwoman Annabel Mulcahy found something rare over the weekend when she checked on her nine pet chickens; one of them had laid a round egg. Mulcahy says that the egg laid by “Twinskie” rolls across the table “like a marble.”
It’s a rare event, and it could be worth something. She says a Google search showed her it was a “one in a billion” chance, and she’s put the egg up for bids on eBay, where she says other round eggs have sold for almost $500 in the past. She wants to use any money she makes to rescue more chickens and build an extension for her coop.
