California Town Using Laser To Stop 1,000 Pooping Crows

Sunnyvale, California has a messy problem thanks to roughly 1,000 crows that are roosting in the town. According to Mayor Larry Klein, the birds come out at night and leave the streets “riddled with crow poo,” then disappear to roost during the day. Now, three city workers are on crow watch every night, using lasers and blaring sounds to try to drive the birds away.

There might be another option. Vice Mayor Alysa Cisneros posted a Twitter poll, asking if people would come to the town if they started having an annual crow festival, and 87.4% of the 452 people who voted said “Yes I would come.” https://platform.twitter.com/embed/Tweet.html?dnt=false&embedId=twitter-widget-14&features=eyJ0ZndfZXhwZXJpbWVudHNfY29va2llX2V4cGlyYXRpb24iOnsiYnVja2V0IjoxMjA5NjAwLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X2hvcml6b25fdHdlZXRfZW1iZWRfOTU1NSI6eyJidWNrZXQiOiJodGUiLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X3NwYWNlX2NhcmQiOnsiYnVja2V0Ijoib2ZmIiwidmVyc2lvbiI6bnVsbH19&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1482907861344612352&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.drdavesultimateprep.com%2Fprep%2Fmy_picks&sessionId=3dba86bce58ff50b9449185834aa915fc61a0910&theme=light&widgetsVersion=75b3351%3A1642573356397&width=550px
