By now we know that some bridezillas will got to extremes to make sure their wedding looks just perfect, but this bride may be risking her wedding not happening at all over her ridiculous demand.
A bride recently asked for advice on Reddit’s “Am I The A-hole” forum, wondering if she was out of line for giving her fiancé an ultimatum. She explained that her fiancé has been growing out his beard since March but she just assumed he’d shave it before their September wedding, but when she mentioned it she was surprised by his response.
She said she joked about him shaving it before the big day and he responded, “Um I was going to leave my beard for the wedding.” She notes, “I gave him a pretty gross look and said ‘no you are not. That is not acceptable. I will not have that.” When he told her she couldn’t tell him what to do she insisted she did because it was her wedding. “I said that I would cancel our wedding if he doesn’t shave,” she shared. “He didn’t budge. He ended up getting really mad by that comment and left shortly after.”
She said they have barely spoken since, and then asked folks on Reddit if she was being unreasonable, and many sided with the fiancé.

- “How can you think it’s okay to demand that he shave his beard because it’s ‘your day,’” one person commented, “You can’t have a wedding without a groom, so it’s his day too.”
- “He is the guy you said yes to—beard and all,” another added, “How would you feel if he said he won’t marry you unless you lose 20 pounds before the wedding?!”
- Finally, one person put it succinctly, “Short answer yes. You are the …….! Talk about over-entitled. Wow.”
