Man Finally Rescued After 12 Hours In Cliff Face Crack

A man hiking in Utah has finally been rescued after getting his knee stuck in a crack on a cliff face for 12 hours Friday night. The man, who hasn’t been named, slipped and got his knee stuck while doing the Generic Crack climbing route around 8 pm, according to officials. His climbing partners tried to free him but soon realized this would require extra help.

When search and rescue arrived, they soon found they’d need a helicopter to rappel to the stuck man and save him. The team tried for several hours to free the guy but ended up calling for extra assistance from Grand County Search and Rescue. Once the man was free, it was announced he luckily only suffered minor injuries.
