🔥 New York State Burn Ban 🔥

🔥 New York State Burn Ban
The annual New York State Burn Ban will take effect March 16 through May 14.
🚫 Not Allowed
• Burning brush or yard debris
• Open fires used to burn leaves or trash
• Large uncontained fires
✅ Allowed
• Small backyard fire pits
• Campfires
• Small cooking fires
These fires must be less than 3 feet high and 4 feet wide and properly contained.
🌱 This ban helps reduce the risk of spring wildfires, which are more likely this time of year due to dry grass, leaves, and gusty winds before green vegetation returns.
If you’re planning to clean up your yard this spring, make sure you don’t burn brush after March 16.
Stay safe! 🔥
