Holiday fun for all ages! A Christmas tradition from Spain and Portugal involves a decorated log that children feed, cover with a blanket, and later encourage to “poop” candy. Known as Caga Tió, the log is given a face and arms, then cared for during the weeks leading up to Christmas. On Christmas, children sing a song, tap the log with sticks, and it produces sweets as a reward for their attention.
Famadillo highlights a commercial version called “The Christmas Poop Log,” which turns the custom into a family activity. A storybook is sold separately, while a larger kit includes the book, a wooden log, dowels, paint, a Santa hat, felt, glue and googly eyes so families can build and decorate their own.
