County Council of Senior Citizens and the St. Lawrence County Office for the Aging will be hosting a Senior Fall Festival on Thursday, September 17th. The festival will be held at the Gouverneur Community Center & Nutrition Center; located at 4673 SH 58 in Gouverneur.
Registration starts at 9:00 am. County Council members will be selling coffee, tea and donuts in the am. Free Bingo starts at 9:30 am. Please bring your own daubers. There will be a 50/50 raffle, door prizes and other raffles available.
Lunch will be served at 11:30 am and will feature a Turkey Dinner with dessert. There is a suggested lunch contribution of $3.00 for seniors age 60 and over; the guest fee is $8.00 for anyone under 60.
Lunch tickets must be reserved in advance by calling the office at (315) 386-4730. The deadline for lunch reservations is September 10th. No lunch tickets or takeout meals will be available at the door. Inside seating is limited to 130 and is first come, first served. There is also an outdoor deck and large pavilion available for seating. If someone wants to ensure they sit inside for lunch, it is recommended they arrive at the registration time.
