The stench got so bad that hundreds of people got up and poured out into the hallway of the shopping center, with video showing some covering their faces.
In a fitting twist, a person dressed as Spider-Man was on hand and mingled with the crowd to keep them entertained while they waited out the smell. No one was hurt, and the theater kept running its other screenings as normal, though many people chose not to go back in. The culprit was never identified, and some online joked the person was the movie’s true villain.
